Modern Day Ladies Golf Fashion
For men and women, sports attire and street fashion have always had some amount of overlap. From the long and fashionable skirts women used to wear on the golf course, the fancy dresses once worn on horseback, to the unshapely athletic shorts and tops that used to dominate the sports sections of department stores, women have always had to sacrifice either comfort or beauty for their sport.

Because of the minimal movement of the sport, women were stuck wearing impractical attire for almost a century. Ladies golf pants did not find their way to the green until almost the turn of the century, and women’s golf shirts often included a tight bodice that did not allow for much movement at all.

Skirts, skorts, dresses, tank tops and polo shirts can be found made of Lycra as well as other wick away materials for a comfortable day-long experience. During the cooler months many women take to wearing comfortable Bermuda shorts, long pants, and lightweight tops to keep them warm. In the summer months, since the sun is stronger and it is much more likely that you will get sweaty during a long day on the course, you will generally see a rise in active wear attire for women on the course.
When it comes to social sporting events such as golf, it is important to combine fashion with functionality. Luckily, there are now comfortable and form-fitting solutions that look and feel great!
